I transform my ugly mess of a sink into a nice clean space. I add a tile back splash, Stone shelves and a new RO water faucet.Â
I start by laying out a tile design that should fit my sink This is the mess I start with I clean the mess, then sand. I measure up and make a line with tape. I added glass tiles to make it taller. This is the glue I used for the tiles The glue is applied I used a wood popsicle stick to put the glue on the back of the tiles. Here is the glue on the back of the tile First tile installed. Bottom row done. Spacers were used (incorrectly) lol. These 3 pictures are a closeup – The left side The middle The right This is the grout I used. I mask it off to apply grout I mixed the grout in a old coffee can. Started to apply the grout Still wet. Starting to dry, almost time to clean the tiles. Since the sink was taken apart, I used a can with water. I start sponging the grout away The tiles are clean now! Close up. I added a shelf. Had to bend my own brackets to hold it. These help support the shelf. I added a screw to keep it from sliding off. My sink! Theses 3 brackets hold the left smaller shelf. I am upgrading my RO water dispenser. I used a plumbing bracket, car bolts, and other hardware. The bracket there is from a corner of a DJ cabinet. I used L brackets to attach it to the wall. The side view. I also added a pressure gauge for the RO tank. It looks really nice. And now everything in its place! Related
